What should I expect?

From my experience of working with the chronic pain population within the NHS, it is clear to me that there is a significant lack of resources to help them. Long waiting lists and time constrained appointments can often lead to worsening of symptoms and a general lack of reassurance that treatment will be effective.

I offer alternative pricing strategies for those who struggling to afford this service- please contact within for more info. Anyone interested in this service is also welcome to a free 15 minute introductory telephone consultation.

This is a 90 minute appointment which takes a thorough investigation into your personal relationship with pain alongside a wider scale physiotherapy consultation.

  • Chronic Pain Assessment: This will involve discussing your lifestyle and personal experiences as well as your physical health conditions. At this stage, both of us will have gained  an idea of the main factors influencing your pain levels. This discussion will inform the rehab planning of the physiotherapy session to ensure we put something together that works for you.

  • Physiotherapy Assessment: This will focus on your body part specific symptoms and finding the somatic factors contributing to your pain. The main difference between this part and a standard musculoskeletal consultation is that I will assess a broader range of joints in more detail.

  • Rehabilitation Plan: To finish the session, we will work together to put a realistic home exercise plan together, and provide the appropriate advice in
